stars“This gym is first class. I was very apprehensive about trying Crossfit. I had heard all of the bad rumors about the sport, but yet kept seeing incredible results from CFers and a strong dedication to going to the classes. Blue Ridge Crossfit had a wonderful week-long free trial (cards are available at the gym), so I gave it a shot. I tried a few classes, and signed up for the Foundations program. I never realized how unsafe I had been at my previous gym until completing this course. I was going to a different big ol’ gym, using a variety of machines, and probably doing a number to my back and shoulders. The staff at Blue Ridge Crossfit teach you how to workout safely and learn the proper technique. Every class features a segment of how to perform the day’s exercise with good form and with the right weight for you. Sometimes that’s just a training bar made out of PVC. You don’t go into BRCF and just pick up a bunch of weight. You take one step at a time, and once you learn the proper form, you are going to achieve more fitness goals than you could ever imagine. The community at Blue Ridge CF is unbelievable! The people are so nice and encouraging. Everyone is cheering you on, and helping you accomplish and go beyond your goals. I get why CF at Blue Ridge is addicting. It’s addicting to feel good (and not judged) when coming to the gym. It’s addicting to learn how to properly workout (rather than winging it). It’s addicting to make friends who have been through the same struggles as I have.”
